Conservation Force serves on and partners with the CIC headquarters in Budapest on intergovernmental advisory body aiming to preserve wild game and habitat.

The CIC Sustainable Use Commission is intimately involved with the evolving definition of sustainable use in the regulation of trade under CITES particularly trade in hunting trophies. Furthermore, it is participating in the respective development within the IUCN's Sustainable Use Specialist Group and other international and regional forums alike.

John J. Jackson of Conservation Force is the President of the Sustainable Use Commission of CIC, Vice President of its Tropical Game Commission, and a member of CIC's Executive Committee.
